I was surprised how much my daughter loves sorting these by weight instead of just color. The wooden cylinders feel solid in the hand, and she'll line them up and compare them for a good fifteen minutes without getting bored.

My 4-year-old actually sits still with these, carefully weighing each cylinder in her hands before matching the pairs. The subtle differences in weight keep her concentrating far longer than I expected.

The wooden cylinders feel smooth and solid in small hands, and the weight differences are subtle enough to really make my kids pause and think before matching them up. My three-year-old and five-year-old both got drawn into it during quiet time, and I’ve seen them focus longer than I expected.
