What's included and how to play

What blocks are in the Foundation Set?

The set contains 16 acrylic blocks in 10 colors, including 5 shapes: squares, rectangles, half-circles, triangles, and arches. All pieces are sized to standard unit block dimensions.

How do children play with these blocks?

Use them on a light table for glowing towers and windows, or combine with wooden blocks for colorful architectural builds. The transparent material lets kids see how shapes stack and balance, and the colors create dramatic light effects. Try placing the blocks on a sunny windowsill to see colored shadows on the floor.

Are they safe for young children?

The blocks are made from solid, durable acrylic with smooth edges. As with any small building pieces, adult supervision is recommended for children under 3. The set is designed for ages 3 and up.

Can these blocks be used with other sets?

Yes. Because the Acrylic Rainbow Unit Blocks use the same mathematical proportions as traditional unit blocks, they fit perfectly with standard wooden block sets and other Guidecraft unit block accessories. Combine with a light table or a simple flashlight for extra play value.
