My two-year-old has thrown this thing off the couch more times than I can count and it hasn't chipped or cracked once. The plastic wheels actually grip the rug instead of sliding, so it rolls smoothly without scratching my floors.
The birch plywood feels way sturdier than the plastic toys we've been through, and the non-skid wheels actually stay put on our hardwood. My two-year-old has been hauling it around the playroom for a week and it still looks brand new.
You can push these buses around all day without them tipping over, and the non-skid wheels really do grip the carpet. The artwork looks nice and subtle, not loud or cheap like some plastic toys. We've practically worn ours out and the plywood still looks brand new.
